Our incredibly dedicated volunteers Pam Martin and Steve Murray were recently honoured for their tireless contribution to STEPS at the Kawana Community Electorate Awards.

Pam and Steve were both nominated in the Kawana Community Electorate Awards for their years of volunteering at STEPS. They both attended an awards ceremony and enjoyed morning tea at Talara Primary College and were presented their certificates by Jarrod Bleijie, MP State Member for Kawana.

Pam Martins is STEPS Nursery's longest serving volunteer

Pam works in the STEPS Nursery and is now the longest serving nursery volunteer. She has been a huge asset to the nursery, particularly during staff shortages. During this time, she provided great support, both professionally and personally to the team. She is consistently going above and beyond what is expected and required of our volunteers and has built great relationships with other members of the community.

Steve Murray, our long-term volunteer at cafe on George St, is awarded with a community award

Steve is a valued long-term volunteer at STEPS. He donates his time and skills in the kitchen and supporting the café by cooking and preparing homemade items for the café and also for functions and events. Steve always goes above and beyond with his generosity and dedication, is a quiet achiever who never complains and is extremely reliable.

STEPS would not be the organisation we are today without the support and generosity of our volunteers. Thank you Pam, Steve and all our wonderful volunteers!
