The Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program is a free program that gives you the skills and support to prepare you for work or further study.

Students in the SEE program will learn:

  • Communication skills for the workplace such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening
  • Job search and job matching skills
  • How to use digital technology
  • Job interview preparation
  • Manage money and finances

Nationally Recognised Qualification 

While enroled in the SEE program you will have the opportunity to undertake studies in nationally recognised qualifications aimed at helping you find employment and further your studies.   

FSK10119 Cert 1 in Access to Vocational Pathways

FSK10219 Cert 1 in Skills for Vocational Pathways

FSK20119 Cert 2 in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways

Students may also enrol in the BSB30120 Certificate III in Business or the CHC33021 Cert 3 in Individual Support as part of their studies in the SEE program. 

Eligibility

Who Is Eligible For The SEE Program?

Clients are eligible to undertake the SEE program when they meet all the following criteria:

  • working age (between 15 years and Age Pension age)
  • registered as a job seeker
  • deemed suitable for training without any barriers that would prevent successful participation
  • either an Australian citizen or permanent resident or have working rights in Australia

Who Is Not Eligible For The SEE Program?

Clients are not eligible to undertake the SEE program if they are:

  • a full-time student at the time of referral
  • undertaking New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS); the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) or any other program advised from time to time
  • a person who has exited the program and are seeking a referral within three months of their last exit/program completion date, except where they are transferring to a new provider
  • current holders of a Skilled Migrant Visa
  • currently a secondary visa holder of a person who holds a Skilled Migrant Visa (dependent)

How to Enrol

You can either enrol in the SEE program by contacting STEPS directly on 1300 131 965 or ask for a referral from your Employment Service Provider.
