The National Panel of Assessors (NPA) is an independent service, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. The service aims to help to empower Australian workplaces and employees to be become more accessible and disability focussed, by offering specialised workplace assessments focused on ensuring a safe, inclusive and compliant work environment.
How STEPS Can Support You
Our specialised team understands the current and ongoing needs for employees in the workplace where a Disability Employment Services provider determines that an employee is likely to need ongoing support in the workplace and where:
- An employee has reached 52 weeks from Job Placement
- A Job in Jeopardy employee has achieved a 26-week Outcome and requires ongoing support
- It has been 52 weeks since the employee’s last ongoing support assessment, or
- A change in circumstances means that an employee may need a higher level of ongoing support than previously identified.

Supported Wage Assessments
The Supported Wage System provides both the industrial relations framework and the Assessment process to enable reliable productivity-based wage assessment for eligible people with a disability and provide supports for both employers and employees.
