To celebrate the generosity of the Coast’s business community STEPS Charity are hosting some of Australia’s most inspirational Olympians at their Living Legends Long Lunch this March.

The panel style lunch will welcome the likes of Australian hockey captain Mark Knowles, K2 kayaker Alyce Burnett, K4 kayaker Jordan Wood, pole vaulter Alana Boyd, swimmer Gary Winram and a host of Australian champions to celebrate our local Living Legends.

Currently a number of Sunshine Coast businesses commit over $30,000 annually both in kind and financially to STEPS Charity as part of their Living Legends Program.

Think Money, BA Murphy Constructions, Murphy Homes and Ken Mills Toyota have all contributed significantly to help create opportunities for young people living with a disability this year.

The money raised from the event will assist in funding the ongoing needs for the STEPS Pathways College opening in April.

“My team and I are impressed by the opportunities that STEPS Pathways College will create for young Australians aspiring to do things that we sometimes take for granted,

As a dad, to be in a position to support young people to live independently for the first time is something I am especially proud to be involved with.” Brett said.

“As an owner of a local business that prospers from this community, I am strongly motivated by a desire to support programs that give back to it. Every dollar raised means we’re another step closer to creating brighter futures for people living with a disability.’’

STEPS Charity will be hosting the Living Legends Lunch at The Lakehouse Sunshine Coast on March 17, tickets are $150 and include a two course meal, beverages and entertainment.

To reserve your seats please call STEPS Charity on 07 5458 3000 or book online here.
