Kristy and Jade, two STEPS Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program participants in Innisfail, recently played a big part in a networking morning tea hosted by APM Employment Services.
The event brought together several organisations and community representatives to connect, share professional insights, and build referral pathways across the Townsville region.
Kristy and Jade worked together to prepare and serve food and coffee to guests throughout the morning. Their friendly attitudes, professionalism, and strong customer service skills helped to create a welcoming atmosphere and contributed to the event’s overall success.
The opportunity allowed both participants to put into practise the workplace and hospitality skills they’ve been developing in class: communication, customer service, initiative, collaboration, and time management, among many other professional skills and hospitality-sector insights.
Throughout the morning, they demonstrated confidence by interacting with attendees and displayed outstanding teamwork skills, playing a key role in the event’s success.
In recognition of their outstanding contribution, APM Employment Services presented Kristy and Jade with a certificate of appreciation and a $200 gift voucher. Congratulations to both Kristy and Jade on this well-deserved recognition and thank you to APM Employment Services for creating opportunities that support and celebrate participant learning and success.
