STEPS is launching night classes for its Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program in Cairns, Caloundra, Casuarina, Palmerston and Townsville, providing more accessible learning options to locals who are unable to attend classes during standard business hours.
The STEPS SEE Program helps people develop practical reading, writing, numeracy, and digital skills for work, study and everyday life, all at no cost to eligible participants. There are also pathways to pursue nationally-recognised qualifications related to business, individual support, and hospitality.
STEPS CEO Cassie Stanley says that the night classes are being launched in response to growing demand for more flexible study options.
“There are many people in these communities who would like to return to learning for a variety of reasons, such as starting a new career or confidently using technology, but other responsibilities can make this inaccessible,” Mrs Stanley said.
“The STEPS SEE Program offers hands-on education and training at no cost to eligible participants, which can open the door to exciting career opportunities or personal growth. Our incredible trainers meet each participant at their individual level of experience and build lessons around real-world scenarios to make training as engaging and practical as possible.”
Interested individuals are encouraged to visit the STEPS SEE Program webpage at www.stepsgroup.com.au/see to find more information and apply.
