Community Support Profiles: Buxton House and Rostering Team

Team profile: Rostering Team

Meet the incredible rostering team powering our STEPS Community Support services: Rae, Tash and Olivia.

These three bring a calm and coordinated presence to one of the most complex parts of Community Support, making sure every participant client receives the right support from the right person or team at the right time.

With a shared commitment to quality, the team takes great care in matching participants with support workers whose skills, experience and availability best align with their individual needs. Their thoughtful approach helps us support our clients in making meaningful progress towards their goals.

Beyond the carefully curated schedules, the rostering process is also designed with safety and high-quality service front of mind. They ensure consistent staffing and dependable coverage that our clients can rely on, leading to better outcomes for the people we support.

Rae, Tash, and Olivia help make Community Support stronger, safer, and more reliable for every client we serve. Thank you to these three amazing women for all of their hard work!

Client profile: Buxton House

At our Buxton Supported Independent Living (SIL) house, small daily choices are adding up to big progress.

Participants Paul, Morgan and Nic have been building their independence through practical routines: maintaining their lawn, meal prepping, keeping on top of cleaning, and following healthy eating plans to support their wellbeing.

Paul has been taking pride in looking after the outdoor areas of the home, regularly mowing and tidying the yard. He’s built valuable skills for shared living and loves contributing to a happy home environment.

Morgan has been focusing on meal prepping, preparing ingredients and portions for the week. This has helped Morgan make balanced choices for his health, reduced stress around eating, and become more confident in the kitchen.

Nic has been leading the way with his cleaning goals and healthy eating habits. He keeps the shared spaces organised and follows a consistent food plan that helps him stay on track with his goals every day.

Supported by the STEPS SIL team, these three participants are achieving their goals and developing their skills one day at a time, celebrating their progress with every milestone. Their focus is now on expanding their meal options, strengthening their budgeting and shopping the skills, and continuing to maintain a happy home together.
