Volunteering for events with STEPS Pathways Charity

STEPS Pathways Charity is creating brighter futures filled with independence for young people with a disability and autism.

The majority of our fundraising is earned through Sunshine Coast community events, and we rely on the generosity and help of our volunteers to make these functions a success.

From grand galas to cheerful Christmas parties, we’re always looking for friendly faces to lend a hand.

Volunteer roles may include:

  • Setting up or packing down events
  • Assisting guests at the event
  • Selling raffle tickets or collecting donations
  • Providing administration support
  • Performing ad hoc tasks for event organisers

Role requirements

  • Have strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
  • Be willing to take direction and use initiative as necessary
  • Work well with others as part of an event team
  • Ensure guests receive excellent service
  • Perform tasks in a dynamic event environment

All volunteer applicants must successfully obtain an NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card. STEPS will organise these screenings and there will be no out-of-pocket expenses. Some events will require volunteers to be aged 18 and over.

Event experience is desirable but not required; we provide all necessary training to volunteers.
