In May, Sophie Louise Mann was presented with the STEPS  Inspiration Award at the judging of Miss Fraser Coast  Showgirl at the RSL Club, Maryborough.

Fraser Coast Show Society Executive Officer Martine Britton commented on the outstanding young women who took part in this year’s quest. Sophie Louise (left) entered the competition to demonstrate that people with disabilities can participate in any activity they choose. With the support of her mother and her sister, who also entered in the Miss Junior Showgirl, Sophie Louise charmed her fellow competitors and judges alike.

Sophie Louise, who has Cerebral Palsy, is a student at Maryborough Special School and loves animals. She currently cares for several pets and aspires to a career working with animals. Judges praised Sophie Louise and described her as a great role model for other young people with disabilities.
