Supporting our STEPS team is one of our highest priorities, especially now with cost of living pressures and ongoing global events affecting the price of everyday purchases like petrol. 

That’s why we are excited to share with you a new initiative called STEPS SmartSpending, which brings together information on ways for you to save on household essentials and bigger purchases. 

What is SmartSpending?

We will highlight how STEPS gives you access to savings across hundreds of retailers. You can use discounted gift cards both in-store and online, and cashback offers just take a couple of extra clicks while online shopping, making it easier than ever to stretch your budget further. 

We will share simple guides, resources and helpful savings tips to show you how to make the most of these offers, starting next week with a focus on petrol savings.

You can access SmartSpending through the mobile app on iOS and Android, or via the STEPS Employee Benefits Hub through our intranet. 

Volunteers

As a STEPS volunteer, you can access SmartSpending discounts and cashback offers. To access, please reach out to Volunteer Coordinator Karla and she can set up your account.

We’ve created a simple tutorial video to help you get started, with more on the way. You’ll find them here on our dedicated STEPS SmartSpending webpage. Please do not spread this link widely, as it is only relevant to STEPS staff members and volunteers. 

This week, we’re focusing on how to help you access these discounts and stack up your savings. CEO Cassie Stanley will introduce you to the SmartSpending initiative and talk through why this is important and how it will benefit you.
