Making music and memories

Our Community Engagement Groups give our clients the opportunity to build friendships, try new things, and engage in accessible, community-based events that encourage self-expression and belonging.

Recently, our Maroochydore team attended Team Musicare’s free Drum Circle event at The Station, Birtinya. It’s an inclusive space where participants can connect through rhythm, music and movement every Thursday.

The group drummed along to pop hits, sang along to some Disney favourites, and celebrated one of our clients turning 50 with her favourite song.

Celebrations continued back at the Maroochydore STEPS site with lunch, birthday cake, and more musical games.

For many of our clients, activities like these foster confidence, develop social skills, and create meaningful connections.

If you know someone who could benefit from our Community Engagement Groups, talk to our friendly team for more information on how to get started.
