A Cairns woman has taken a major step towards her professional future after completing the BSB30120 Certificate III in Business through the STEPS Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program.
Candice enrolled in the course with the goal of learning skills to help her land a job as an Employment Consultant, helping others achieve their dreams. Completing the qualification was a proud moment, reinforcing her confidence and belief in what she can achieve.
“Finishing this course was an incredible feeling. I felt so proud of myself for accomplishing my goal,” Candice said.
“I wanted to better my life, and this course was the first step towards that dream.”
Throughout the Business course, Candice developed essential workplace skills that will support her next career move, such as professional email communication and practical use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
She said learning how to communicate professionally, particularly through email, was one of the most valuable parts of the course.
Beyond the technical skills, Candice found every unit of the course interesting and enjoyed connecting with other participants in her class. She found a true sense of belonging, reinforcing her motivation to succeed.
Candice’s next steps include applying for a Blue Card and submitting resumes to employment agencies so she can help people achieve their professional goals. She credits her STEPS trainers, particularly Lauren, with helping her finish the course through ongoing support and encouragement.
“I’ve recommended STEPS to so many people already,” Candice said. “The trainers are amazing and will always be there to help you whenever you need it.”
