For almost a decade national cleaning provider Biniris have provided jobseekers with a disability, injury or illness the opportunity to work.

Forming a long lasting relationship with STEPS Employment Solutions, Biniris have gone above and beyond their responsibilities as an employer to ensure people with barriers to employment find a place in their organisation.

The relationship first began when Biniris employed a STEPS jobseeker into a position available at one of their contracted sites.

Through ongoing meetings STEPS and Biniris kept in close contact and when Biniris learned they had won the contract to clean the buildings and accommodation quarters at James Cook University, they immediately offered STEPS the opportunity to provide suitable applicants for the up coming positions.

After reviewing all the suitable applicants and with the input and support from both STEPS and the Biniris management team, several job seekers became happy Biniris employees.

Today many of STEPS’ clients continue to successfully gain employment with the Biniris team, and STEPS remain continually grateful to Biniris for giving all individuals the opportunity to work.

Biniris truly are a diverse employer and a leader in dispelling the perceptions around employing people with a disability.
