Volunteering for events with STEPS Pathways Charity
STEPS Community Support provides flexible and individualised disability support to our clients, who may need assistance to safely and comfortably access their community.
Our aim is to help our clients enjoy a better quality of life through greater independence, connection and community participation.
We are looking for patient and kind volunteers to assist our support workers. STEPS offers disability support in Hobart and across Queensland and the Northern Territory, so get in touch to find your closest site.
Volunteer roles may include:
- Supporting staff in assisting clients
- Joining weekly activities
- Helping clients navigate public spaces
- Encouraging clients to learn and grow
Role requirements
- Have a positive, encouraging attitude
- Be flexible, reliable, and professional
- Be willing to follow instructions
All volunteer applicants must be aged 18 and over, and successfully obtain an NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card. STEPS will organise these screenings and there will be no out-of-pocket expenses.
Experience is desirable but not required; we provide all necessary training to volunteers.
