At just seventeen years old, Cairns participant Ella-Jade is already making a positive name for herself in the disability support sector.

Ella‑Jade, who is currently undertaking the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support through the free STEPS Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) Program, has already secured employment with Pinnacle Support Coordination & Services—a remarkable milestone achieved before she has even finished her qualification!

Ella-Jade joined the program at just sixteen years old, becoming the youngest participant in her cohort. With guidance from her trainers and support from her classmates, she quickly stood out for her commitment to her studies and the quality of work.

Kate, an Individual Support Trainer at STEPS, praised Ella-Jade’s work ethic and achievements.

“Ella-Jade has applied herself at every step of the course and her work has always been at a very high standard,” she said. “We are very proud of Ella-Jade and her achievements.”

Her goal now is to finish her qualification and begin studying nursing, an exciting step forward for someone who is already thriving in the care sector.

We wish Ella-Jade all the very best as she continues to make a positive impact on her community.

There is strong demand for skilled support workers, in Cairns and across Australia. The STEPS SEE Program’s Individual Support course offers high-quality training that gets participants ready to enter the workplace, backed by hours of required work placements.
